Tremendous congratulations go to the five Boys from The 79th Glasgow Boys’ Brigade Company who were recently awarded with their Queen’s Badge award.
Craig Barbour, Donald Lundie, Jonathan McKinney, Greig Cunningham and Scott Sutherland were all presented with their award on Friday 29th May by Football players’ chief Fraser Wishart. The awards were presented at the annual Company Section Display, which featured the undefeated drill squad, vaulting squad and various games and sketches.
Robbie Sutherland, Company Captain also presented a cheque to the value of £250 to Julie Robertson, local co-ordinator of the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.
Congratulations to everyone who helped raise this money, to all the Boys for their work and achievements throughout the year, and especially to the Company’s newest Queen’s Men.

Every member of staff of the 79th Glasgow Boys’ Brigade Company would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We have had quite an eventful, and a very successful few months - we would like to once again congratulate all of the Boys for their achievements so far, and hope that they continue to do just as well in the second part of the year.
We would also like to thank all of the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anybody else who has helped us - whether it be driving your son to and from the Church on a Friday night or Sunday morning, helping and encouraging the Boys with the work that they do within the Boys’ Brigade, or for supporting the Company. For this, we are truly grateful.
All the best for the Holidays, and we will see you ready and raring to go in 2009.
