Grand Slam Trophy Win

Wednesday 16th May, 2007

Drill Team with all four trophiesSuccess at this year’s Glasgow Battalion Company Drill Competition has resulted in the Company now holding all 4 major Battalion drill trophies at the one time. It was a great night, as we held off the challenge of our local rivals, the 231st from Stamperland, to narrowly win the Garroway Cup.

We are very proud have our name engraved once again on what is the oldest inter-company Boys’ Brigade trophy anywhere in the world, first competed for 113 years ago in session 1893/94.

The winning squad are pictured above with their impressive haul of trophies: Frame Trophy – Championship Drill; Garroway Cup – Company Drill; Bowie Cup – Squad Drill, and the individual NCO’s Drill Trophy.
