Do you agree that it’s time that at the 79th we had our own identity? Do you think that we should have our own logo, that we could put on posters, letterhead, the website, and possible even on the back of T-shirts for all the Company?

Why not spend some of your time over the summer holidays designing a logo that you would like to see the Company use. We will run a competition, and select the best / most popular / most appropiate design and adopt it as our own 79th “trade mark”. The logo can incorporate anything you want - but please remember that we are a Boys’ Brigade Company! You may want to include a catch phrase such as Mearns Finest or The 79ers - you choose!

The design would need to be able to be printed large and small. It would need to be able to be printed in colour or in black and white (a limited number of colours may be best when it comes to printing costs), and should be appropriate for the Company. You do not need to be a great artist - the best idea could be tidied up later to make it into a professional looking logo.

This competition is open to all ages of Boys in the Company - from Anchor Boys to Staff (Parents can help too). Depending on the age of the winning designer, we will arrange a suitable prize.
