A warm welcome to the new web site of the 79th Glasgow Coy., Boys' Brigade. We hope that this site proves useful to members and visitors, and provides information of activities and events that we have taken part in, and those in the future.The Boys' Brigade is a Christian, uniformed organisation for boys and young men between the ages of 5 and 18. The 79th Glasgow Company was founded in 1941, and is proud to be a part of Newton Mearns Parish Church, and play an active role in its work. The 79th has grown over the years to become one of the largest, and most successful Companies in Glasgow, and we hope that this will continue for many years to come.
This website was designed and created so that we could communicate with members and anyone interested in the Company or The Boys' Brigade. The website has lots of information including up-to-date news, upcoming events and dates, as well as links to many other useful, and related sites.
For anyone interested in joining, or indeed helping the Company, please feel free to contact us through the contact details listed on our site, or visit us on a Friday night at the Church.
My thanks go to those involved in the setting up and maintenance of our site, and indeed to all the Staff and Boys, without whom, the 79th Glasgow Company would not exist.
